Holy Week

As we ready to celebrate our Holiest Week in the midst of the threat that COVID-19 has imposed on our society, we rejoice in the knowledge that our Resurrected Lord walks among us and will never leave us. Bishop Barnes has given us directives (click here) on how we all will celebrate Holy Week. All public masses continue to be suspended, thus we will be livestreaming as we have done in the past two weeks.  Following is the schedule of masses:

♦   On both Palm Sunday and Good Friday, please display a cross or crucifix. On Good Friday reverence the cross as it seems appropriate with a  reverential bow or genuflection.


♦  On Palm Sunday, each family is encouraged to collect greens from your yard, sprinkle them with water as the priest blesses the palms at church, then use the greens to adorn the home and/or place in front door of your home.


♦  On Easter Sunday display a bowl of water in your home as a sign of Baptism – that we have died to ourselves and Risen unto Jesus Christ.
